DAY 1: HANOI - HALONG BAY (L, D) |

In the morning, you will be collected from Hanoi at 8:00 am for a scenic 4-hour drive through the peaceful land of the Red River Delta to Halong City. Upon arriving at the port, board a cruise boat to start your stunning cruise. Afterwards, enjoy a lunch on board as the ship sails through spectacular limestone formations and makes the way to the World Heritage Site. Pay a visit to a cave to explore its stunning stalactites and stalagmites. There are also a lot of activities for you to take part in including go swimming, kayaking, joining a Vietnamese cooking demonstration or just relaxing on the sundeck. Take your time to relax as the ship sails to a place surrounded by beautiful islands for an overnight. Dinner and overnight on board. |
DAY 2: HALONG BAY - BAC SON VALLEY (L, D) |

This morning, try to get up early to enjoy fresh air on the top deck and watch the stunning scenery goes by. After breakfast, venture further into other parts of Halong Bay. Afterwards, pay a visit to a fishing village with a tender to learn more about the way of life of the locals. Return to the main vessel and enjoy a full brunch before transferring back to the main land at noon. In the afternoon, get on the private vehicle for a scenic drive to Bac Son Valley. Upon arriving at Quynh Son village, you will check into a local house. Dinner and overnight at the homestay. |
DAY 3: BAC SON VALLEY (B, L, D) |

In the morning, enjoy a traditional breakfast at the house before transferring to the nearby tile factory. This is the most famous one in the region which provides tiles for most of the stilt houses here. Tiles in the factory are made by hand with traditional techniques unchanged for centuries. After some time strolling around the factory, transfer to a small valley where you start your stunning trekking tour. You will begin with a small concrete path dotted with peaceful stilt houses and surrounded by green farms. After reaching the end of the valley, your adventure will be continued with a hiking into the forest. As you reach the top of the hill, take time to breathe fresh air and admire surroundings around you. Continue onto the second valley which is bigger and then follow the buffalo to trek down the hill. Take a walk back to the family to freshen up and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, continue your adventure with a short walk to the foot of the mountain where the cell phone tower is situated. Hike up to the top of the mountain to enjoy a breathtaking panorama of Bac Son Valley. Then, climb back to the family for a dinner. Overnight at the homestay. |
DAY 4: BAC SON VALLEY - HANOI (B, L) |

After a delicious breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to the host family. Drive to Thai Nguyen City for lunch followed by a visit to the Vietnam museum off Ethnology where you can get to know more about the various cultures of Vietnam and its different ethnic groups. In the afternoon, transfer back to Hanoi where you will arrive at around 3 pm. End of service! |
