DAY 1: HANOI - BA BE LAKE (L, D) |

You will be collected from your hotel in Hanoi at 8:30 am for a scenic drive towards the Northeastern mountains to Ba Be Lake. Along the way, make some stops for photos as you pass through stunning views of mountains and farms. Upon arriving at Ba Be Lake, take a walk around the village where Tay ethnic minority inhabits. This is a great chance to learn more about the unique traditions and customs of the locals here. Overnight in a stilt house of Tau people.

DAY 2: BA BE LAKE - CAO BANG CITY (B, L) |

In this early morning, try to get up to take in fresh air of the region. After breakfast, set off your exploration with a visit to the lake and Nang River. You also cruise through the biggest fresh water lake in Vietnam, visit Dau Dang waterfall- one of the highlights of the lake and Puong Cave- a large cave in Ba Be National Park. Around noon, make your way to Cho Ra Town for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, transfer to Cao Bang where you will spend an overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3: BAN GIOC WATERFALL & NGUOM NGAO CAVE |

This morning, after breakfast at the hotel, make a drive transfer to the remote area of Trung Khanh District. Along the way, make a short stop at Phuc Sen village where you have chance to get to know more about the techniques of making farming tools used by local blacksmiths. At around 11.30, you will arrive at the waterfall. Take a short walk down to Quay Son River and embark on a small local boat to explore the spectacular waterfall. Afterwards, transfer to the nearby local restaurant for lunch. Your afternoon exploration will continue with a visit to Nguom Ngao Cave- famous for its unusual limestone formations. You will be fascinated by the breathtaking charm of stalagmites and stalactites. After sometime exploring the cave, get on the private car and drive back to Cao Bang. Overnight in Cao Bang.

DAY 4: CAO BANG CITY - BAC SON VALLEY (B, L, D) |

After breakfast at the hotel, continue your journey with a drive to Bac Son Valley. Along the way, you could make some stops for taking photos. After arriving at Quynh Son by noon, there will be an authentic Vietnamese lunch at a local stilt house. Take your time to enjoy delicious local food and chat with the friendly host. In the afternoon, take a short stroll around the village to get a closer look at the lifestyle of Tay people. Afterwards, you will be transferred to the famous mountain of the region. From its foot, climb to the top where the cell phone tower is placed. After a hard way, you will be rewarded with spectacular panorama of the valley. Dinner and overnight at the homestay.

DAY 5: BAC SON - HANOI (B, L) |

In the morning, there will be a traditional breakfast. Afterwards, start your adventure into the village with a 3.5 hours hiking on a small village road. During your hike, you have the opportunity to take in a tranquil atmosphere of the region among a romantic setting of mountains, forests and local life. Upon finishing your hike, you will be picked up for a private transfer back to your homestay. Take time to relax and enjoy the final lunch. After lunch, it’s time to say goodbye to the host and drive back to Hanoi. You will arrive in Hanoi at around 4:30 or 5:00 pm. End of service.
